& COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION
The activities of the Association
was inaugurated on 30th August 2003 by Mr.Kumaranayagam, Accounts
Officer, INTEL, Coimbatore with a special lecture in “Recent
Trends in INTEL”.
Many students of the department
presented technical papers at Bannar Amman Inst. of Technology,
Sathyamangalam, G. Tech, Vellore.
To improve practical knowledge
and feel of industrial atmosphere visits were conducted for
students to KELTRON, Radio Station, Trichy, Hindustan Photo
flims (HPF), Ooty. 13
Guest Lecture were organized
for the benefit of students.
We were conducting “National
Level Technical Symposium” – TECHNORAZ’
2004 on 29th & 30th January 2004. The Valedictory function
of Symposium will be conducted on 30th January 2004. Dr.M.Sreenivasan,
Controller of Examinations, Anna University, Chennai was the
chief guest of the same.
@ We were conducting Guest Lecture
on “Planer Transmission Lines and Microwave Integrated
circuits” on 12.03.2005 to updates the student
Technical Skill. The Seminar was given by Dr. S. RAHAVAN, Professor,
ECE Department, NIT, Trichy.
@ Our Institution concentrate
not only curriculum and also very much interested to improve
the student personalities so that the personality development
programme was conducted by Mr. Suresh Punjabi on 28th February
2005 & 1st March 2005.
@ Many students of the department
presented Technical paper & project at Mepco Shelenk Engineering
College, Jayaram Engineering College, C.S. I Institute of Technology.
@ We
were jointly organizing
‘KNACK” a school level science
and Tech Exhibition on 7th & 8th January 2005. Shri. S.
Murugaia, I.A.S. District Collector was the Chief guest of
the same.
@ We
were jointly organizing "KNACK 06" a
school level science and Tech Exhibition on 18th & 19th
January 2006.

The activities of the association
were inaugurated by Dr.Ebenzer Jayakumar, Head, Department of
Electrical and Electronics Engineering, G.C.T., Coimbatore on
29.08.2003 with a seminar on “Recent Trends in
Power Transmission”
Prizes were distributed for
the winners of Inter departmental Competitions conducted by
the association on the inaugural day.
@ Industrial Visits were arranged
for the students to Instrumentation Ltd., Palakkad, FCRI Palakkad,
Amaravathi Sugar Mills, Krishnapuram, Metter Thermal Power Plant,
TELK, Ankamali, Kerala, Stark Motors, Coimbatore and Indian
Institute of Astrophysics Observatory, Kodaikanal.
@ The second year students
of our department visited. Numeric power systems limited on
12th February 2005 to enhance their practical knowledge in the
field of electronics.
@ The final year students visited.
TVS Lucas Pondicherry as a part of their curriculum.
@ The third year students of
our department visited Numeric Power Systems limited on 15th
February 2005.
A state level Technical Symposium
“EIMANUST” was organized by our department as a
Part of Association activity on March 4th & 5th 2005. The
department has published annual technical magazine under the
banner of our association. Various events like paper presentation
Dumb-C, Marketing were conducted. Participants were from various
Engineering colleges all over Tamilnadu. Cash awards and Shields
were distributed for the prize winners.
COMPUTER
SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION
The inaugural
Ceremony of CSE Association X-PLORA was held on 4th September
2003. The function was inaugurated by Mr. Davidson Stanley Jones,
Manager of ACCEL, Coimbatore. To make the students aware of
the competitive world, they attended seminar – success
in placements. The department
has published annual technical magazine and under the banner
of our association. It exhibition was conducted to expose the
talents of the students. The various technical activities are
software debugging, dumb charads, technical quiz, paper presentation
and Group discussion.
The seminar
regarding NET was given by SRM Radiant, chennai. The department
conducts weekly attitude test to refresh the knowledge of the
students.
* Our Department has arranged a seminar on “Computer Network
and Technology, presented by Mr. Ravikumar, Senior Network Engineer,
HCL and Mr. Rajinikanth, Senior Network Engineering, HCL, on
11th February 2005.
Our department has also conducted two days workshop on Borland
caliber for the benefit of our internal faculties and for our
final year students.
Shyama Varma,SoftwareEngineer,Infosys had delivered an wonderful
talk on 20 th January in the recently emerging technologies
of IT industry.
Suresh.G,SoftwareEngineer,Infosys,Presented
an enthusiastic speech on 25 th January regarding “how to prepare for an interview”.
